Savile & Chrome is pleased to head The Leeds Channel bid to acquire a local digital television service license. The Leeds Channel (http://www.theleedschannel.co.uk) was set up in 2011 as a collection of individuals, local media operators, and businesses to develop the government’s plans to decentrallise broadcasting. Since the publication of ’Making the Vision Happen’ by Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt, (http://www.culture.gov.uk/news/ministers_speeches/8705.aspx) we have taken further steps to position ourselves as a viable contender for the proposed Leeds digital television license. Our interests in the region extend from local politics to fashion, music, the arts, sport, and business. The partnerships we have created enable us to bring you the latest news and views from the region. Years of combined local knowledge and experience in broadcast media enables us to bring the best of local television news and entertainment to the Region. Our extensive local connections also allow us to investigate and represent the opinions of local people. Our vision is to encourage collaborative and positive relationships across Leeds communities by broadcasting local stories and providing quality in depth analysis of local issues. Our mission: 'Creating a digital marketplace to share the stories that connect our communities'.
